@immaterial_ink @solana @jito_sol This pales in comparison to the number of arbitrages I have committed on to the solana blockchain. I have earned 1.4 million dollars in profit from arbitrage on the solana blockchain

@thelawrenceyan Yeah I usually don't like texting people that much. Seems ingenuine. If you wanna talk to someone just ask if they wanna call its fun!

@colludingnode @ponzirespecter Also exited on TDAmeritrade for a sec

@0xrelativity @edvingusinac I don't think mass adoption is merely a marketing issue. People are aware of crypto and still choose not to use it

@segfaultdoctor Hey, I'm actually somewhat on an expert in this field. Feel free to DM me and we can set up a zoom coaching session to post on youtube for people to learn!!

a brief comparison between Jupiter v4 API (Javascript) vs. Jupiter v5 API (Rust).
we are running on multiple instances of fly.io's dedicated-cpu-8x VMs.
Jupiter v4 API
* Javascript based
* normal routing algorithm
* super optimized code
* load average of 10, more than the 8 dedicated CPUs
* 9 GB memory used per VM
* 30 requests per second per VM
* performance: 50% at 300ms, 95% at 1500ms, 99% at 4000ms
Jupiter v5 API
* Rust based
* barely optimized code
* more advanced routing algorithm
* load average of slightly below 8, almost maxing up all 8 dedicated CPUs
* 1 GB memory used per VM
* 75 requests per second per VM
* performance: 50% at 50ms, 95% at 450ms, 99% at 900ms
obviously not an apple-to-apple comparison, we learned a lot from v4 and implemented quite some optimizations that we couldn't do on v4 to v5. but Rust's performance is actually very impressive.

@Tristan0x @buffalu__ Thanks for the rec, but I usually work on off-chain stuff like in javascript nowadays lol.

@swyx @ashtom @BillGates @Steven_Ballmer @satyanadella @kevin_scott Just because your job didn't exist ten years ago doesn't mean you shouldn't be concerned about your job going away.
People don't care that jobs will leave and others will rise, they're worried they'll lose THEIR jobs. Maybe some people can retrain themselves but not everybody.
English

Developers freaking out.
IMO this is an overreaction. There is no upper bound to human desires. As technology obsoletes old jobs, new jobs arise. My job didn't exist 10 years ago. This laptop I'm typing on wasn't conceivable 10 years ago.
We adapt. We shift goalposts. We want everything faster better safer cheaper.
Get ready for Software 3.0 to 100x your value - we've just invented a new engine... but you're the only ones who know how to turn it into planes, trains, and automobiles.

Wow. GitHub CEO @ashtom just announced GitHub Copilot X:
- Copilot Chat - "ChatGPT-like experience in your editor" powered by GPT-4
- Copilot for Pull Requests - AI-generated descriptions for pull requests on GitHub
- GitHub Copilot for Docs - chat for *any* company's repos and docs, starting with React/Azure/MDN
- GitHub Copilot CLI - compose commands and loops, and throw around obscure find flags to satisfy your query.
as @benedictevans might say, the incumbents are embracing and integrating AI into existing form factors faster than startups can build them. To win, startups have to create -new- form factors from first principles.

@thelawrenceyan First republic bank is FDIC insured. You're not going to lose your money :)

@0xgodking Don't think this will happen tbh. Nothing's changed that would cause it to suddenly quit

One big strength of @MagicEden and @opensea is that they don’t have a token yet.
And are still able retain good portion of the market. Will be interesting to watch when any of them launches 🍿
