Did you know the TV show “To Catch a Predator” was cancelled because they kept catching law enforcement, teachers, preachers, local officials, and other people meant to protect Children? The final straw? An Assistant District Attorney in TEXAS was courting who he thought was a 13yo boy. He didn’t show for the sting, so they sent law enforcement and camera crew to his home. The police entered, and Louis Conradt shot himself, taking his own life. Can’t make this shit up..

Berhubung banyak yg nanya kenapa kerabatku itu cuma jarak 5 tahun meninggal karena HIV dan udah minum ARV, aku jelasin di sini ya Jadi semuanya baru terbongkar dari pengakuan dia setelah collapse dan udah naik jadi AIDS. Dia bilang udah suka sesama jenis sejak remaja. Tapi takut utk come out. Orangtuanya strict parent. Dia pun tumbuh jadi anak yg penurut, ga pernah nongki2. Waktunya kerja ya kerja, pulang ya langsung ke rumah. Begitu yg ortunya tau. Sering dibangga2in lah daripada anak yg lain di keluarga. Bahkan karena ga pernah punya temen cewek, ortunya malah anggap dia anak soleh yg ga mau pacaran. Tapi sejak 2017 dia bilang udah mulai berhub sejenis secara diam2 (ini pengakuannya). Pas gw tanya "kamu sadar ga itu bahaya? Pake pengaman ga?" Dia jwb "awalnya pake, tapi sejak dimarahin ortunya gegara ketauan ada kondom di tasnya, jadi takut bawa kondom lagi" (ini gw langsung murka ke emaknya) Tahun 2021 kena herpes, emaknya masih denial (atau mungkin anaknya yg ga jujur), nganggep itu herpes bukan yg penyakit kelamin. Tiba2 awal 2023 dia ambruk ga bisa jalan kek orang lumpuh dan badan mulai kurus. Keluarganya masih nutupin penyakit anaknya, cuma bilang tokso. Gw ga kurang akal, gw google lah apa penyebab tokso. Ternyata yg paling mendekati kondisi dia adalah HIV. Barulah gw interogasi anaknya, dan dia cerita semuanya. Dia diam2 udh berobat dan minum ARV sejak kena herpes. But again, ga jujur sama ortunya karena takut. Gw tanya ortunya kenapa ga jujur, jawabnya malu kl tetangga dan sodara tau anaknya sakit begitu, takut dijauhin. Damn, meledak gw! Semuanya udah terlambat. Mid 2023, dia berpulang.

Soalnya kata keluarga ortunya meninggal sakit keras. Saya rantau keluar negeri jadi baru balik kesini. 🧑‍⚕️: baik mas kita tes dulu. Kalau HIV+. Maaf nggak bisa dipuskesmas. Kita rujuk ke rumah sakit. Semoga adeknya cepat pulih. Kebayang anak sekecil itu 4 tahun berjuangnya gimana 😭 Yuk kalau Saudara kita ada yang HIV, dorong berobat bukan disembuyikan 🙏
