So far since writing this: I’ve been accused of being a SA and rape apologist. I have been removed from several different group chats. I have been blocked by multiple people. I have been mocked and persecuted without any chance to explain how I feel. I have been literally told to go die. Exactly what I said would happen is now happening. Oppression. THE IRONY IS NOT LOST ON ME.

Public Service Announcement I’m going to share my truth. I’m going to tell you what you’re not supposed to hear. This is bigger than one person. He is not the problem. For the past several months, I’ve been searching for a reason to stay on Crypto Twitter. It’s not just the price action or empty promises or PvP culture that has me questioning everything. It’s primarily the people left here. At this point, I think it’s appropriate to point out that if you’re still here every day then you probably don’t have a better option. Either you are in on it and leveraging your influence against others to max extract, or you are getting max extracted from because you have become emotionally attached and psychologically dependent on this space. Many of the people left are unemployed, forced to either align with people that they don’t actually like or likely fade into complete irrelevance over these next few months. Many people are being forced into submission, the was it was designed all along. We think we are at the mercy of cabals and KOLs. But we don’t have to be. This is where Otto Rothmund comes in. So I met Otto several years ago, and he immediately fascinated me as someone who knows things here. Someone who has always said the quiet part out loud. Someone who will always provide the historical context for what’s transpiring here. Someone who challenges the status quo. Well over the past few years, Otto will be the first to tell you that he’s done things that are morally apprehensible. I don’t actually know if he’s capable of lying, and so what I said in a fit of rage yesterday was not even an accurate portrayal of Otto’s character. He has told people what he’s done wrong, and yet there are still very well organized people intent on maintaining control of the ecosystem, and therefore suppressing and gatekeeping Otto from promoting a new era of community. Otto has always said he sees me as a man of the people, capable of relating to the average CT person just trying to survive. He’s encouraged me to become a more outspoken presence in the space, leading a mass exodus away from the cabals and KOLs and gatekeepers that exist only to steal from others. We align on many points regarding the deteriorating culture here, and both of us want to push for better ideals and ways of interacting with each other. It’s for these reasons that people attempt to keep us canceled. Because we’re not content with how things are and we’re saying loudly that we’re going to do something about it. Well, I tried things the Otto way for a week and opened myself up to considering change to be possible and necessary. What happened next is why this space continues to worsen by the day. People heard not only was Otto back, but he was being platformed again by credible people. He was being allowed on spaces to speak freely, added back to group chats to spit gospel, and while a little rough around the edges it felt as if Otto was being accepted back into the fray. As a result of the return of Otto, the rumor mill started to swirl like a tornado. Otto has never hid from his drug use. He’s never claimed to always treat certain women in his life well. He will tell you he isn’t here to scam or worried about making money. So therefore he’s not dependent on Them the way the rest of us are. And Them can’t tolerate it, so They intentionally go out of their way to spread rumors about Otto. Heinous, unforgivable rumors that would lead to anyone getting canceled. The irony is those leading the witch hunt against Otto are the ones who claim to not believe in cancelations in the first place. Not only was Otto thrown back into the fire for just trying to exist here, but anyone that chose to align with him also became a target. So all of a sudden I am being harassed and intimidated from several people almost simultaneously. “Otto did this. Otto did that. Why are you giving him a chance? Why are you friends with him? That makes you part of the problem.”

Till last week Apes got no benefit for duration held. Now Figge floats an idea to reward people for holding and we don't like it? 🙂 No idea can ever be perfect. We, as smart individuals, will always find the imperfections. Let Figge cook and let's be welcoming of his ideas rather than finding faults. Respectfully 🫶 bored ape yacht club

I’m going to say this as calmly as possible: Watching Caitlin Clark in the WNBA has become genuinely hard to stomach. Not because she struggles sometimes. Not because she makes mistakes. Not because she gets criticized. That comes with being great. It’s hard to stomach because it has become obvious that the league, the officials, the media, the players, and even her own organization have all decided that the most important thing is not letting Caitlin Clark become too big. And that is insane. @WNBA @IndianaFever This league was handed the most marketable, electric, revenue-generating player women’s basketball has ever seen, and instead of building around the moment, too many people seem obsessed with humbling her. She gets fouled. Held. Hit. Cheap-shotted. Mocked. Targeted. Then when she reacts like a normal competitor, suddenly everyone wants to analyze her attitude. No. Her attitude is not the story. The story is that a generational player is being treated like a problem by the very league she helped drag into mainstream relevance. This reminds me of the worst kind of youth coach... the one who sees a special player, feels threatened by her talent, and slowly drains the joy out of her in the name of “teaching humility.” That is what this looks like. The freedom she played with at Iowa is disappearing. The fire is still there, but the joy looks damaged. The confidence looks weighed down. She looks like someone constantly fighting the refs, opponents, narratives, coaching decisions, jealousy, and a league culture that should be protecting its golden opportunity instead of resenting it. And let’s be honest: Stephanie White has not helped. Benching Caitlin Clark randomly when she is controlling the game tempo, or having your best shooter off the floor in critical game ending minutes when a victory is within reach is basketball malpractice. Limiting her rhythm, downplaying her greatness, benching momentum, and treating her like just another piece instead of the engine is absurd. You do not take a player who changed the economics of your sport and manage her like you’re afraid her greatness might offend the room. Nike deserves criticism too. Other players get signature shoes rolled out with urgency, while the biggest draw in women’s basketball is somehow still waiting on that signature shoe. That is not confusing. That is revealing. Fans are not stupid. They see the fouls. They see the double standards. They see the jealousy. They see the media resentment. They see the league benefiting from her popularity while refusing to fully embrace her. And here is the part the WNBA better understand quickly: People are not tuning in to watch Caitlin Clark be humbled. They are tuning in to watch Caitlin Clark be great. If she walked away tomorrow, the fans would follow her. The sponsors would follow her. The energy would follow her. The high salaries and the charter jets would follow her. And the league would be forced to confront the uncomfortable truth it keeps trying to avoid: Caitlin Clark did not need the WNBA nearly as much as the WNBA needed Caitlin Clark. At some point, her family, her agent, and her team need to ask a hard question: How much longer do you let a league profit from her while allowing the culture around her to beat the spirit out of her? Because from the outside looking in, this does not look like normal adversity anymore. It looks like abuse. It looks like a league trying to break the very player who made millions of people care. x.com/i/status/20609

I can't think of anyone else that has enabled and empowered the @OthersideMeta community as much as @seannana has. One of the realest people in the space truly working as hard as he can to set us all on the right path in this digital space. His work at Open Page helped communities come together and become visible. Allowed even for the smallest groups to have a voice and be recognized as contributors to a growing metaverse world. I know he won't stop changing the paths ahead of us like he always does. This chapter has come to a close for him, but I'm excited to see where he ends up now and continues to set these new paths for us!
NANA@seannana

a personal update // The only thing constant is change. I'm fully welcoming this period of change with the birth of my third child and have been bonding for the past couple of months. During this period, I began to write the final lines of my story with @OpenPageHQ to bring that chapter to a close. To be clear, OP remains one of the top apps creators and collectors use to engage with avatars, wearables, badges and communities. And I'm very proud to have helped build one of the most ambitious creator communities with OP and @OtherSpaceFM. When I joined CR3 Labs, a few of the questions were: What does a universal avatar profile system look like? One that stays with you regardless of the platform you're participating in? What does identity and digital reputation look like across IRL and virtual experiences? How can a creator or team of collaborators build a community and understand who their truest fans are? How can you acknowledge, engage and reward true fans and turn them into collectors and superfans? How does ownership translate to your digital identity and avatar? I'm proud of what we answered together. We built tools that empowered creators and collectors. Hosting and sponsoring experiences, workshops, and building creative tech. We forged new paths with creative workflows, analytics, and tools. We helped communities grow without ever needing a 10k drop, and gave creators the data to understand their truest fans. We brought the culture of collecting onchain badges to ApeChain. Whether it's a digital experience or IRL, to this day the community still uses badges to reward fans, involve artists, and engage their people. It's part of our onchain legacy. The UNCODED Series of OP Avatars. The 3D avatar and wearable system. Threejs, web-based, Otherside-compatible, interoperable from day one. Things I've dreamt of building, built with people I'll never stop being grateful for. This includes the OP team and those who built alongside us. To everyone who participated, claimed a badge, created or minted a collectible, sent feedback: thank you. You all remind me of why I choose to show up every single day. I believe in OP. The tech, the vision, and @0xm1kr. Not only a cracked dev, but one of the brightest minds I've ever met who actively pushes AI, 3D and blockchain tech in the best direction. This isn't goodbye to the project. Just to my chapter in it. I will continue to use the very tools we built because they remain that valuable. What I've come to know about myself across these chapters: I get called when creators need an advocate, when new tools need someone who can speak both creative and technical, and when communities need to be built differently than what any playbook would suggest. What's next, I'm figuring out. I'm taking my time while I bond with my kids, learn and create. But I'm making myself available to explore where creators, communities, and AI intersect next. 🫡
