@drakesmith__ @In2sportz7 I’ll try to find it later, but when people ask me why I stopped drinking I tell them I am one of the 4 monkeys.
English

@isolveproblems5 @In2sportz7 Definitely, I am 1 of those 4, I will have to check that out I have never heard of that study! Thanks!

If you struggle with drinking and golf, try this experiment.
Book a tee time by yourself at a course you've never played.
1-2 hours from home.
Carry your own bag.
No music. No podcasts. No phone.
Just you and your thoughts on the drive there.
Don't keep score.
Don't perform.
Just walk and play golf somewhere nobody knows your name and nobody is watching.
If the drive there felt uncomfortable in the silence,
I promise the drive home won't.
On the way home, sit with these three questions:
1. When did golf stop being something I loved
and start being something I needed a drink to enjoy?
2. Who am I when there's no one around to perform for?
3. What would my life look like if I showed up to everything the way I showed up to those 18 holes today?
Just let the answers ride, they will stick with you in a way that starts to crack your current story.
English

@drakesmith__ @In2sportz7 If you give 100 monkeys alcohol 96 of them will take it and leave it. But four of them always drink themselves into a coma. Are you one of those four monkeys?
English

I am not writing to the guy that can go and have a couple with the boys. I agree that would be fun.
I am writing to the guy who tells himself a couple will be fun and then can't stop.
There is a big difference.
For years I struggled trying to do things in moderation and just have fun.
Not how I and many are wired.
English

@drakesmith__ @In2sportz7 It’s the study of 100 monkeys. Check it out on YouTube… brilliant.
English

@AmericanDebunk Cerno’s 4’ video today was the closest thing to Scott I’ve heard in a while. Who else is worth listening to?
English

@DerrickEvans4WV Sounds like we need a new market for US Gas only. We control our own prices for what we extract from our ground.
English

@Cernovich @TheChironSky Well done Cerno 💪🏼!! Enjoyed the video. Do another.

🚨#BREAKING: A MASS ST*BBING EVENT HAS TAKEN PLACE OVERNIGHT IN DOWNTOWN RALEIGH NC.
AT LEAST SIX PEOPLE HAVE BEEN HOSPITALIZED WITH ST*B WOUNDS
Please pray for the victims, we DO NOT have to keep living like this!!!
English

@ChartBreakouts @EphremSteve There’s no value in the capital markets. There is volatility though, but that’s not what he’s after.

Warren Buffett is sitting on $373,000,000,000 in cash.
That's enough to buy 480 companies in the S&P 500.
It's the largest cash pile since the 2008 financial crisis.
In 2008, Buffett didn't buy stocks on the open market.
He waited. Then extracted brutal terms from desperate companies.
He's still not buying. Oil is still above $97. Inflation data drops tomorrow.
The Strait of Hormuz is still blocked.
The smartest investor alive is telling you something.
Are you listening?
English

@OneBadDude_ @LibertyValkyrie Ain’t no one at an AA meeting wanting to hear that either.
English

@Slaymaker222 @jonbrooks I agree with this. A mechanism to gift a sliver of home equity generationally, while alive, to help a next gen would be very cool for some families.
English

@isolveproblems5 @jonbrooks That would be great, the biggest problem is i could never support it as the wealth would all go towards bringing in foreigners and making the foreigners who are already here as comfortable as possible. That seems to be all that our government is capable of doing anymore.
English

Anger? I’m simply broaching a demographic and a period of time. It’s not meant to be personal. It’s meant to be factual. How can you look at the returns from the past 20 years and not feel a little blessed?
The country is broke now and everyone’s homes and stocks are at all-time highs.
In fairness, if I was a boomer I’d hate to hear this.
English

@isolveproblems5 @jonbrooks You're anger at people who did what you could or would do
Work hard, Make sacrifices, Go with out Live within your means
Its jealous and instead of doing whatever it takes like those who came before you you shift the blame to those who put in the work and made the sacrifices
English

@strax_potato @jonbrooks Well said. I work over 40 hours a week and I got that by watching my boomer parents do the same. I am not debating showing up for work.
English

@isolveproblems5 @jonbrooks My parents are Boomers. They worked their asses off as many in that generation did. And their parents and so on. A lot of my generation (X) still haven't moved past their adolescent sense of entitlement.
English

@CherieOS64 @jonbrooks The stock market has doubled every six years for the last 20 years.
The real estate market has tripled in value over that same period of time.
These are not normal returns and that’s the point I’m making.
The returns on investment that require little work, is the argument.
English

@isolveproblems5 @jonbrooks We got wealthy by working 40 plus hours a week for 50 years and going without to save
ya idiot
