MY NEIGHBOR WHO WAS A CHURCH HARLOT As a much younger man, I had a neighbor who attended the Catholic Church. I mean, everyone knew him as unmistakably Catholic by how tightly he held the rosary, how proudly he chanted 'All Hail Mary', and ofcos how boldly he criticized pentecostals in birthing disorganization in the body of Christ. Then one Sunday, he was gone. The next time we saw him it was at Deeper Life Church. He no longer held the rosary. He started quoting Hagin and Graham. But what really what suspended our jaws in collective disbelief was when he started calling Catholics idol worshippers. Even in our shock We offered him the charity of benefit-of-the-doubt. Perhaps the road to Damascus had a detour through our street. While we were still contemplating his convictions - Guess what happened! He left the Deeper Life and returned to Catholic! Our fellow neighbors too alarmed by the inconsistency to query him about his idol worship comments, kept their peace. He too didn't bother to explain. He just resumed holding the rosary, ringing the bell and chanting 'All Hail Mary' like a man with no memory of recent past. And not so long after - He left again. This time to the Redeemed Christian Church of God. He infacr became a worker and started speaking in tongues he had not previously been gifted with. "Catholic was too ancient", "Deeperlife was too strict", "RCCG offers the perfect balance", those were his new defence. But then again... He left. You can't rightly guess the destination this time. Celestial Church of Christ - White garment. Bare feet. Fast-paced choruses and the rhythmic percussion of ten thousand claps. He embraced it all - the candles, the prophetic declarations, the holy water - he absorbed them all. And it was only then - standing at the threshold of his fourth congregation - that the neighborhood finally understood his motivations were. Our dear neighbor has never joined a church because he found God there. He joins whichever church will make him Elder. Deacon. Pastor. Bishop. And the moment it became clear that throne would not be gifted to him on his preferred timeline, he folded his garment and departed. He was never hungry for heaven but for the title. And every congregation he leaves is poorer - not in finance, but in the credibility they lent him before they understood what he was. He never sought God but Titles. And he will wear any garment, speak any language, betray principles, and abandon any doctrine to find one. How do you understand this? Good Morning Severally...

According to RMAFC, the annual take home of a governor is between 12 and 13 million Naira. If you multiple this by 4 years, you get around 48 million Naira. So, is APC saying that governorship aspirants will buy the form at exactly the same amount they will earn for 4 years? What of campaign funds that will likely run into billions? BREAKING: We've urged President Bola Tinubu to direct Mr Mohammed Idris Malagi, Minister of Information and National Orientation, and the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to immediately withdraw the unlawful ‘Formal Notice’ issued last week by the NBC, which threatens sanctions against broadcast stations and presenters on vague and unjustified grounds, including the expression of ‘personal opinions,’ alleged ‘bullying or intimidation’ of guests, and failure to ‘maintain neutrality.’   We urged him to direct the Minister of Information and the NBC to immediately abstain from imposing prior censorship on broadcast stations and Nigerian journalists including presenters and to allow them to freely carry out their constitutional responsibilities and exercise their fundamental human rights.   The request followed the notice issued to broadcasters by the NBC on 17 April 2026, alleging a rise in breaches of the 6th Edition of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code in ‘news, current affairs, and political programming’, and threatening that it would ‘enforce strict compliance and impose sanctions for Class B breaches.’ The NBC’s notice represents a dangerous attempt to impose prior censorship on the media and suppress legitimate journalistic expression. The Nigerian Constitution and international human rights law protect both the absolute right to hold opinions and the qualified right to express ideas of all kinds.
