$UFD frustrating because we are constantly fighting all sorts of external factors yet we are holding strong. If everything was booming we’d be running in the hundreds of millions.

@MichaelJelen I’m fine with saying “it would be nice if these artists actually cared” but the reality is the bust ass to get to where they get to which is rewarded in $$. 18,000 people in an arena are the same no matter what. The game is skewed but it’s just how it is. Blame the artist

@MichaelJelen For up and coming artists sure that makes sense. When an artist can sell out arenas it changes because no one can book an arena without selling their soul to live nation. They wouldn’t be able to get a venue even. All these artists want the money and sign those deals.

A concert ticket is the only product I can think of where the people most willing to value it are systematically prevented from getting it. A loaf of bread goes to whoever pays. A house goes to whoever clears underwriting. A concert ticket goes to whichever bot was faster. Worth fixing.

@NFTCUZ Unrealized loss is the same as a loss. The value is what it is now. Doesn’t mean they have to believe it won’t go up but the value is the current price of anything. Still very relevant

@JimMalec I am retired from tickets since 2019 but as someone who sold hundreds of millions in tickets… never had a single person ever say anything but thank you. When demand is greater then supply in things that are wants not needs… supply vs demand is the metric & money transacts it

@JimMalec Sure. I can think of a lot of things I wish were illegal but just cause I don’t like them doesn’t mean it’s ever going to happen. Just cause you are mad about ticket prices it doesn’t change that many people are HAPPY to have the ability to buy them at a premium later.

I missed The Chicks' artist presale this morning. This is the current situation on StubHub, about 2 hours later. Absurd and unnecessary. We can end ticket scalping, and should.

@itschicagoooo I have consistently said late H2… but obviously that was before any of us knew Hormuz would be an issue I never said Q4, in fact I was one of the few telling people not to expect an altszn in Q4 I swear ppl just make stuff up lol
