The decision to not trade Cole Ragans and Kris Bubic was such a mistake by the Royals. Both drew interest at the deadline last year. The Royals kept them both & missed the playoffs (38th time in 41 years). Ragans has made 11 starts since and Bubic will walk as a FA in 3 months.

The Kansas City Royals are acquiring right-hander Randy Dobnak from Seattle, sources tell ESPN. Dobnak exercised an upward-mobility clause in his contract and will be added to Kansas City’s 40-man roster, starting at Triple-A Omaha.

I have taken to calling Kendry Chourio "Baby Greinke", but even Greinke only pitched in one game (in relief) in high-A ball at age 18. Chourio doesn't turn 19 until after the season. He is on a historic pace.
