This quite the opposite. Aang couldn't control the Avatar state at will at 12yrs old. The fear of being the Avatar and shouldering that responsibility made him flee away from home and stayed in the iceberg 🧊 for a 100yrs. Even when he entered the avatar state against Zuko for the first time, he became weak immediately. Aang only enters the Avatar state when he's deeply emotional and angry. Remember when Appa was taken by the sandbenders, you saw how he was in his emotions and entered the Avatar state instantly and we were like "Woooow!!🙆‍♀️🙆‍♀️ they are toasted". It took Katara to held onto him and help him calm down. Also, Remember when Aang realized his people were annihilated by the fire nations, immediately he saw Monk Gyatso's necklace and skeleton, in his emotion, he went into the avatar state and a massive wind came spiraling. It was still katara who talked him into calming down. Remember, Against the FireLord, Aang didn't use the Avatat state until he hits his back against the wall and that sharp rock hit him at that spot where he was badly injured. In that pain, he entered the Avatar state. Korra on the Other hand was very self-aware of who she was. At 4yrs old she said; "I'm the Avatar, you gotta deal with it!". She was aware of her power and enters the avatar state at will. This was why when korra enters the avatar state, she has the controlling power to do whatever she wants. Aang couldn't control it, that is why the Past avatars were fully in control of Aang's body and you see that intensity of raw power and when Aang speaks in the avatar state, it's no longer him but the entire past avatar speak in one voice. Korra is not the weakest Avatar. I can debate this like my life depends on it. She is in control of her powers but I just don't like it when she uses it in fights that doesn't demands it. Avatar the Last Airbender was a legendary series. All they had to do was understand why it worked, which most fans did, and NOT go woke. But that's, apparently, impossible. So get ready for DEI Avatar. 😒

I kind of disagree with Jordan on his semantics here. Thinking through logical uses for magic was already in Avatar's wheelhouse. Think the earthbender trains in Ba Sing Se. So expanding on that isn't unimaginative, per say. But I guess you could argue that it's unimaginative in that there are a dozen other ways benders could generate electricity without touching rare and dangerous techniques. Just get a bottom tier firebender to man a boiler to make steam. Problem solved. But he's 100% right that it's stupid, because it creates retroactive story problems with Zuko's story. Now we can maybe justify that Zuko struggled more than normal with lightning bending due to his emotions and maybe some chill dudes could learn it easily once the technique proliferates, but without carefully dealing with, it cheapens Zuko's story. And Zuko was the best thing Avatar ever did.

When Aang gets earthbending in a day. Cool When Katara gets bloodbending in a day. Cool When Toph gets metalbender in a day. Cool But when Korra struggles with airbending for 17 fucking years and gets it following the principles of freedom. She's a Mary Sue.

@shabb003 I was ready for Aot to go darker and have no happy ending even at the time of the final chapter was about to be released. Isayama decided to tone it down and I accepted it. I didn’t love the ending that much, but the anime ending satisfied it.

Fascists twist isayama words to justify genocide, when the author himself regrets how he should have wrote a fate more terrible for eren

@hinayase I don’t hate Aang, Im just giving him the same level of criticism as Korra, cuz Aang fans are too biased to even acknowledge that Aang can be pretty annoying too. If anything Zuko’s storyline is the best part of the show, while Aang and the Gang is just playing around.
