@leonicka Black Americans are most at risk after this election. I don't think you understand how important the civil rights act is to black Americans and how losing it will have devastating effects it will have on them. Nobody in the middle east is gonna fight for black people.

There are Americans with loved ones in Palestine and Lebanon. The weapons used in Gaza end up being used against Black Americans. When militarized police terrorized Black ppl in Ferguson (under a Dem president!) Palestine extended support. I can’t say what is more important.

@leonicka I think you still need to ask what was accomplished by the principled decision to stay home. Is the chaos and pain that will follow the choice to allow a Trump victory an intended consequence?

If neither candidate was going to stop their pain, what (collective) you were really asking is for them to vote to prevent your own pain but tolerate their own. I cannot fault anyone who rejected such a cruel demand.

@king_of_bob @leonicka @SupernovaMomma I am basing it in part on the additional turnout that favoured favoured Republicans. I don’t think the anti-genocide people who sat on their butte at home should congratulate themselves today as US is not one step closer to stopping the genocide under Trump.

But now those who could comfortably ignore the genocide are upset that they will suffer as well.

The Dems were already delivering on that promise. Land in Palestine was already being sold for development. We watched them burn people alive in a hospital. We watched death marches to mass graves. There is nothing worse. But now it’ll be bad for Americans too.
