For those children who are still unsure about which of the 4 operations to use in a calculation, or lack the conceptual understanding of each operation! I've used these as a card sort activity, as a small group discussion and as a whole-class warm up. #edutwitter

Thanks @Y5missross for introducing me to scribble spellings! The children really enjoyed doing it and could focus on their own individual spellings. ✏️

As the beginning of term is generally ’Place Value Season’ in schools, I thought I’d re-share a few of our simple games to help children practise what they’ve learnt! 😃

Our Early Nunber Sense games and activities are completely free and when coupled with our free ‘DIY’ resource kit, would be great to share with new intake parents to help prepare their children for school. Please share!

Rather than just saying 'Divide by the bottom & multiply by the top', help children understand fractions of amounts by explaining it practically!😀

A great summary of subitizing with a bank of free, themed resources from Ian Addison. Very generous, great job!

Although we think that nothing beats using actual physical resources, this free tool could be very useful when this isn’t possible - e.g. large group or whole class activities! Thanks @wigglemyears
