@Eliz_Hightower @marklevinshow What has Trump accomplished? Arrests for the covid hoax? Arrests in the Epstein case? Cutting taxes? Reducing the number of foreign wars like he promised? Cutting spending? Building a wall?

@Eliz_Hightower @marklevinshow Turncoat? Dude has had the same ethical position on everything for 50 years. You can't find a more consistent person. If his alliance with someone was broken, it's because that person changed their position

We didn't get a forever war. You weren't drafted to die for Israel. Gas didn't go to $6 a gallon. We didn't put boots on the ground. We didn't get a flood of refugees. None of your predictions came true. And yet none of you will admit you were wrong.

@DuaneKnesek @BobMurphyEcon @RandyEBarnett I have read up. It seems that everything since the early 80's has been indirect or cited without sources by intelligence reporting. Thousands of Americans travel to Iran every year as tourists, why aren't they all dead?

I've seen many versions of this. This would make sense if Trump were on the campaign trail and said, "Biden was too soft, I would tell the Iranians we mean business and threaten them back to the Stone Age." But since he is literally threatening them in this way--and his defenders are saying "Trump is playing the madman to keep them unsure of what he'll do"--then no, you can't just dismiss this as "oh Donald, you card." If it's so obvious that he's kidding, there's no point to the threat. Phil would be admitting that Trump is teaching the world not to take our red lines seriously. Is that something we should be applauding?

my mentions are full of libertarians and leftists that behave as if they have never encountered Donald Trump and his hyperbolic bluster in the ten years he’s been involved in politics.

@TheTrendMaker_ @jacksonhinklle No, the war has been going on for decades, with evil on both sides. Hamas escalated the violence, and Israel escalated it again by starting a genocide. People act like the history of violence started on 10/7

@davebrownlive @ComicDaveSmith Yes, look at all of the soon to be free corpses lying around the streets of Iran. And all of the folks who survive will just have to wait weeks/months for consistent electricity and a year for indoor plumbing again. Lucky folks, really. They've never had it so good.

Has a single person who advocated that the US overthrow the Iranian regime to “liberate” the people, jumped off board since Trump declared total war against the civilian population? If you’re ok with “stone age” I’m starting to suspect it was never about liberating the people.

@ThomasEWoods effectively argues for a posture that minimizes the threat posed by actors who openly chant for our death, even when those threats have a documented history of being acted upon. He’s seems so comfortable dismissing the rhetoric as hyperbole, but when violence materialize, quite amazingly, he shifts the criticism to the response of those targeted rather than the violence itself. Is Tom desperate for his grandkids to grow up in a world where radical clerics can target them with nuclear tipped ICBMs?

@StuAnahn @CodyLibolt Not exactly. The state doesn't have a claim to anyone's labor, including that of the deceased who left the fruits of their labor to you

@CodyLibolt Following that logic, if you inherit property the state can lay a claim to it, since you performed no labor to obtain it. Same with any property purchased with money that was inherited, and any surplus value of a sale of property that wasn't the result of improvements.

Some of us expressed great concern about the Iran War when it was first launched. We were shouted down and condemned as “panicans” and “blackpillers” and even Islamist sympathizers. But it’s pretty clear from how things have gone that our concerns were absolutely reasonable and legitimate. Maybe Trump will get us out of this thing soon and it still won’t spiral into a long and drawn out war. But even if that happens — and I’m not convinced it will — no thoughtful person can deny at this point that the spiral and long war scenario is very much a possibility. No reasonable person, at this stage, can say that our concerns were irrational. What looks irrational now — and always did — is the demand for blind allegiance and unthinking “trust” in our elected leaders, as though we are called to have faith in politicians like we have faith in God.

@2029GantiRezim @BillyBobCovnan @ThomasEWoods So if we don't want to go to war with Iran it's because we "hate the jews," but if people die because we do go to war it's not dying for Israel. That's an interesting paradox.

@KarenFullerton2 @stayjabfree @ryangrim It's not at all a great health care system. But Cuba is also very poor, so families have to work to eat, and cannot be at bedsides in a hospital all day long. It's a shame what Communism has done to the country, and a shame what the US is doing to kick them when they're down.

@stayjabfree @ryangrim Or, maybe, there is a good reason families and general public aren't keeping babies alive. You assume Cuban nursed are incompetent, just because. Cuba has an excellent healthcare system. It is apparent you know nothing about this. Nothing at all, yet you spew your biased opinion.

Very good reporting from the NYT in Cuba: “Elsewhere in the hospital, doctors and nurses dashed to ventilators that were pumping air into the lungs of sick newborns. The machines’ battery systems died years ago, so health workers have to squeeze a rubber pump to keep the babies breathing until the generators start to work. “With fuel running so short, the gas generators may be only a temporary savior. Nurses in the hospital’s neonatal unit said they already have plans for a fully powerless hospital: swaddle newborns in blankets and put them back into dead incubators, hoping they stay warm enough to survive.” nytimes.com/2026/03/26/wor…
