Mastering AI agents is either the best or worst use of one's time today. You either unlock future superpowers, or waste time learning clunky UIs and awkward hacks destined to be obsolete in a month.

Excited to share some of our recent #waymo work, in collaboration with Google Deepmind: a frontier world model for autonomous driving simulation, which can leverage the broad knowledge in Google DeepMind's Genie 3. Our recipe can successfully transfer that knowledge into the 3D domain, enabling camera -- and even lidar -- generation for rare objects and conditions. Check out the blog post for more details and long-tailed (pun intended) examples: tinyurl.com/2usdhuez

Simulation has always been a critical component of Waymo’s AI ecosystem and one of the 3 key pillars of our approach to demonstrably safe AI in the physical world. The Waymo World Model is a high-fidelity, controllable environment helping the Waymo Driver master the long tail.
Waymo@Waymo

We’re excited to introduce the Waymo World Model—a frontier generative mode for large-scale, hyper-realistic autonomous driving simulation built on @GoogleDeepMind’s Genie 3. By simulating the “impossible”, we proactively prepare the Waymo Driver for some of the most rare and complex scenarios—from tornadoes to planes landing on freeways—long before it encounters them in the real world. waymo.com/blog/2026/02/t…

A new era for Waymo. We’ve raised $16B to accelerate our mission, valuing the company at $126B. This capital is an investment in a future where more cities get a safer, more reliable way to move. Let's go. 🚀 waymo.com/blog/2026/02/w…

@joshwoodward This: x.com/maxan/status/2… Also, Evernote Web Clipper compatibility would be great. It should work out of the box for progressive web apps.

@joshwoodward @GeminiApp A better UI. Google-grade search. Transitions under 100ms. Organization (stars and tags). Gems! Navigate to any in <2sec; default model selection. A fully-featured player for TTS (speed controls, rewind, background playback, etc.).

Imagine it's early 2026, and you're using a Gemini MacOS desktop app. What features *must* be there for you to love it? Anything you really want to see in the desktop app specifically?

@chamath Regardless of which design eventually becomes prominent, the future of autonomous driving and road safety looks bright.

To make the math simple, the car on the left is $25k. The car on the right is $150k. That said, the key question in my mind aren’t the design choices each made but how regulators will frame their expectations to have a robust, safe fully autonomous fleet in their city. I suspect, initially, they start with licenses for both. And as they collect data it will be incumbent on Tesla to show their error tolerances are as good or better than Waymo. Otherwise, it creates a lobbying opportunity for Waymo to convince regulators that increasing the BoM helps increase safety for pedestrians and other drivers. And, as such, their design decisions should be mandatory. This is the obvious risk. That said, what’s non obvious are the other players who may push for Waymo simply to create a large capital barrier for entry and a much slower payback period. More generally though, autonomous driving is an incredibly relaxing and increasingly effortless experience. Going from stressed out driver to relaxed passenger shouldn’t be under estimated. I drive my Model Y in autopilot (or FSD mode) all the time - I always get confused which one is which. Anyways, last week I also took a Waymo 4 times. Both are marvelous feats of engineering.

Gemini 3 Deep Think mode is live for Ultra users today. When using parallel lines of thought in this mode, Gemini shows meaningful improvement on key reasoning benchmarks such as ARC-AGI-2 & HLE. I think you will be deeply impressed. bit.ly/48EPzdz

Nano Banana Pro with 2k resolution is now #1 on the lmarena image editing leader board (with regular Nano Banana Pro at #2). It looks like users prefer higher resolution: who'd have thunk it?!
Arena.ai@arena

🚨BREAKING: @GoogleDeepMind’s Gemini 3 Pro users are still going bananas. 🍌 The community has been voting on Nano Banana Pro with 2k resolution, and it has claimed the top spot in major Arena categories vs. the default 1k variant. 🥇#1 in Text-to-Image (+8 point leap over nano-banana-pro) 🥇#1 in Image Edit (+10 point leap over nano-banana-pro) Benchmarking the 2k preview separately from the default 1k Nano Banana Pro reveals the true depth of the model's capabilities. Stay tuned for the 4k resolution coming soon. Congratulations to everyone at @GoogleDeepMind on this milestone!

Looking back, I think we've had three step-change innovations at @NotebookLM alongside lots of important improvements and useful features: 1. the original source-grounded chat with inline citations and direct links to passages in sources 2. Audio Overviews And now Slides.
Ethan Mollick@emollick

While I wasn't looking, slide generation in Google's NotebookLM became impressive Here I threw in 10 academic papers I authored & it summarized them into a coherent (& quite pretty) deck. I saw no hallucinations, but nano banana results in some occasional spelling & graph issues
