I dropped everything and visited my mom's relatives yesterday. No regrets. Yesterday morning I went to get internet from the starlink distribution center, opened X and started engaging when my friend called. His father — my mom's elder brother — wanted us to visit the family. My mom passed away in 2025, right in the middle of me building in public. So when family calls, I answer. I grabbed 2 clothes and my bag and we were on the road in minutes. An hour of transport and 30 minutes of walking through the village. We arrived at 6:30 pm and didn't waste a second — we spent the whole night visiting relatives, talking, laughing and playing games on our phones. Some will think I lost focus. I didn't. The network was terrible the entire trip so I used the time to write. And when I checked X in the morning one of my posts had hit 600 impressions, 12 likes and 14 comments. I couldn't reply because of the network so I queued every single response to send once I got back. I read a chapter of a novel called Independence, posted my morning update and soaked in every moment of that trip. We walked back 30 minutes to catch the transport home at 3:00 pm. This is what constraints building actually looks like. Not just the hustle. The full human behind it. These have been the best 10 years of my life. Entrepreneurship has taught me so much that it's hard to believe the person I am today is the same person who started 10 years ago.
