I'd say he's vastly overpaid ($3-4 Mil too high). He's fine as a 4th defenceman. He can't drive a pairing. Ken Holland royally screwed up when he didn't go long on Nurse during his RFA years. Crippled the Oilers cap-wise. I'll always wonder how he would've been as a winger...

Darnell Nurse is a good, useful NHL defenceman who is overpaid relative to his contributions. The Oilers will miss his on-ice presence when it's gone, even if the books will be cleaner.
