I made it my mission. Some I read, others I listened on audiobook. I hate audiobooks, but needed to do something while mindlessly walking on a treadmill. I also had multiple trips and listened at the airport/flying.
At one point I was terrified I'd die before finishing bc I'm psycho.

I saw something about this being shared recently and had the same thought. Like, why can't kids just spend the holiday similarly? It's a nice gesture but I'd be disappointed not getting candy like everyone else.

People on social media are suggesting giving out canned goods and ramen for Halloween and I’m starting to think perhaps if I were the Queen I would require everyone to have to experience one year of being broke. “Here you go, kids! You thought this was a fun candy holiday? Well guess what! I, The Good Citizen, am here to make sure to remind you that until your parents figure out how to stop struggling, that you don’t get to experience delight or joy!” Like… just help stock a food pantry or something. Think about how you would want to spend the holiday if it were you. Think about how you would want your own kids’ day to go.

@LukeBarnett I was thinking about this yesterday regarding my novel. I realized I was throwing names in awkward places that no one would actually say.

One little thing you can do to help "amateur proof" your screenplay is go back through and see how often characters use each other's names. It's something we only do in real life when we're angry "I can't believe you'd tweet that, Luke" or in love "I love you, Luke".
That said, I see it ALL THE TIME in amateur screenplays. Every third line of dialogue has a name. "I'm gonna step outside, Luke." "Sounds good, Luke." "I'm now outside, Luke." "Thanks for letting me know, Luke."
Do a "name pass".

@orckwx I'm the same way with my bikini line. I shave my legs and armpits, but choose not to shave my bikini cause it just itches and gets all bumpy. The most I do is trim up, and if I go to the beach/pool, I wear boy short swimming bottoms to cover the hair.
