Gum grafts are horrible. Like I know this is good for my health but what the fuck. My periodontist warned me that day 3 would be the worst and damn was she right. Here’s hoping it’s only better from here. Go to the dentist.

I got to see my short SWEET BEET at a women’s history month screening tonight and it was the best 😭 in too much pain to be a part of the Q&A after but it was just so cool to see it with an audience for the first time!!

I had some mildly traumatizing oral surgery this morning and my husband is extremely sick with a nasty cold. We’re both too unwell to take care of each other and it sucks!!

Got my first writing payment since signing with my literary manager, which means sharing my first 10%! Unfortunately for my manager, it’s, uh… not a lot 🤣

I swear to god the TSA agents change their mind about whether laptops need to come out of your bag for scanning or not based on their mood at that moment

I did not win an award at the Omaha Film Festival, but tbh I’m impressed I got as far as a Finalist placement with a new, early draft script of AFFORDABLE CARE!

Visiting other midwestern cites is fascinating because what to you MEAN someone just told me that folks from “out west” are scared to come to this part of Omaha when it looks like this at nearly midnight on a Saturday

Let the record show that Leah from South Dakota just found me in a crowd at a whole film festival because her partner said “is your Chicago friend little?” And: I am 🤣

Perils of dining alone: a server just asked how i was doing (meaning: with my meal) and I said “great! How are you?” 🤣

@JonFour I flew out of a different part of the terminal that usual, so it was all new to me!! There was also a sports jersey on the dinosaur skeleton, unsure which sport/team though lmao

@andreaberting Anything new at O’Hare? Used to be my most common layover on the way too or from AFF, but haven’t seen it in like five years now.

@JonnyCandle I usually start with a rambling brainstorming word document where I spill out all of my ideas, ask myself questions, and weigh if the premise really is something! Then I usually go logline -> beat sheet -> first draft

I’m loosely acquainted with a woman who has two small children, one just a few months old. The kids’ first names, when combined, make the full name of a television character popular with our age cohort and like— she has to know, right?? I wish I knew her well enough to just ask!
