Algorand must find a sustainable way to support builders and the protocol. Core devs are at real risk of leaving due to lack of opportunity — a huge threat to the ecosystem. Two key solutions: Raise transaction fees 10–100x Introduce inflationary economics Fee hikes won’t kill competitiveness. We can build rebate systems for high-volume projects like TravelX if needed. The runway is closing. Consensus rewards are finite. Without action, the collapse risk is real. We need action today. I know many people are against these solutions but you have to focus on creating a sustainable environment or there will be no environment to sustain. Transaction fees can always be adjusted in the future if needed. It is apparent that ultra low fees don’t really correlate to high TPS, as we have struggled to keep on high volume projects, and often those projects leave to higher txn fee environments. We can still maintain a low fee environment attractive to a majority of businesses while increasing them.
