Pedri, to me, it’s just a hilariously confusing player to call out. First, to assert the claim being made here you have to jump multiple hoops to ignore the array of matches that fall under the criteria given. Second, you have to purposefully ignore all of his other good matches.

Pedri definitely has lowest standards of our players. has been 6 years here and i cant recall a iconic el clasico or ucl ko game vs good opponent or euro/wc. People love to call out FDJ but pedri isnt any different for now. Atletico is a huge test since he loves to play them

My new football stance is that being good defensively is embarrassing loser behavior and real chads only care about attack. Give me Cancelo, Bastoni, Cubarsí, and Hector Fort in defense, a midfield of Pedri, Gavi, and Fermín, and Lamine, Diomande, and Olmo in attack next season

Frenkie’s absence is a huge miss. The problem is that none of our available midfielders can replicate what he does bar Pedri. Marc Bernal was doing great in de Jong’s absence, but sadly he also sustained an injury. During Pedri’s absence, we had Olmo and Fermin playing deeper with de Jong which is something I really liked. Apparently, our midfield setup against Atletico will be a conundrum. We still have a plethora of options but we won’t get anything close to a formidable midfield. The question is will Flick pair Gavi with Pedri? Will he go for a 3 midfield with Olmo and Fermin deeper? I’m trying to elude the Eric-Pedri pairing because it’s that bad.

👇clearly shows we didn't take advantage of Olmo F9 enough and barely had a midfield in the first 39', things changed with Bernal's introduction and later Gavi. Barca will need to put a lot more emphasis on the midfield and play to Pedri's strengths and not give into the chaos.
