Maybe, but I just wouldn’t take part in it because it makes it ridiculous. Then, you would need to know the percentage of the population who are kids, try to figure out at what age they would vote rationally, etc. I think the spirit of the thought experiment is for adults since it involves a “vote” which is almost universally adults in other instances. When it’s adults, it’s a clear cut thought experiment and a great debate of rational self interest versus collectivism. Throwing in children and even babies into the decision process makes it pointless. Imagine having thought experiment about a jury trial but 2 year olds would be on the jury—it’s silly.
