Here’s my honest take after exploring the platform. SliqPay is early. It’s not a fully mature product with years of transaction data behind it. SliqPay is launching in Nigeria first and has explicitly stated more African markets are coming. That sequencing makes sense: Nigeria is the largest crypto market on the continent by volume, has the most acute need for crypto to utility bridging given CBN’s banking restrictions on crypto transactions, and is also the hardest environment to build for. If the product works in Nigeria, it can work anywhere in Africa.
