UNC is open. There's a good chance Kansas opens up, too. I'm not worried about "the next time" rn. I'm worried about this time. Dusty May will be a very attractive candidate for both of those openings and Michigan is very poor at being proactive rather than reactive w/ contracts.

@sbell021 At some point you can't just keep doing new contracts every time another job opens. There's actually an easy way to solve this. Eliminate the buyout in the contract and guarantee the entire contract but require permission has to be given for any other school to just talk with him

@daily_msu 2017 Kansas..... beat 9 seed MSU by 20; 4 seed Purdue by 30.... nobody was going to beat them. It was Kansas vs the field and if you took the field, you were an idiot. Lost to 3 seed oregon by 14 in the next game. One game in the tourney means nothing. Survive and advance.

Nate Oats was at a mid-major before the transfer portal/NIL were really a thing so pretty disingenuous to use that. Let’s be honest high majors will play on neutrals that’s it. And they want low/mid-majors they can crush to boost their NET. Good mid-majors are too big a threat

Painter is absolutely right. Purdue, Michigan, MSU, and Illinois regularly play tournament level mid majors i.e Kent State, Oakland, Toledo, Colgate etc. If a mid major has been perennially shit (Miami OH), don’t go blaming p4 teams for not scheduling you
