Is like to see the playoff go to 16 teams and get rid of the conference championship games. Play Army - Navy the week after Thanksgiving then play the round of 16 and the round of 8 the two weekends prior to Christmas. Play final 4 New Years eve and day. Then the championship the next weekend.

Three thoughts that would (maybe) help: 1. Start CFB a week earlier, play final four every year on New Year’s Day. 2. Play first round on current conference title week. Longer lag time dilutes interest. 3. Get season complete before NFL playoffs begin because NFL dominates.

Just 17.8 million people watched Penn State-Notre Dame in the college football final four, down from 27.8 million who watched Alabama-Michigan last year in the final four. Yikes. That’s an awful number for a final four playoff game, especially a close game. Thoughts on why?
