What would you use for a super simple landing page if the only requirement is build with Tailwind?

@kylekeesling Are you using Hotwire in these apps at all? Isn’t Redis (or something equivalent) still a requirement for ActionCable/Hotwire to work properly?

@fractaledmind @rails This is awesome, thanks for sharing. I have some familiarity with Hatchbox already, but assumed Fly was just "the place" to do SQLite in prod. This looks like a perfect starting point.

@phillipspc @rails I have a lot of plans for 2024. And these kinds of guides are a large part of it.

Now in @rails main, you can set any of the supported SQLite pragmas from your database.yml file, even overriding the default pragma configuration. More flexibility, more power in your hands to tune your application to your needs. Another nice improvement github.com/rails/rails/pu…

I know this is small potatoes in the YouTube world, but it still blows my mind that my videos have consumed nearly a year of people's time. They could be binging the latest Megacorp content or something, but they're getting entertainment from independent creators instead. Wild!

Twitter has had a massive drop in revenue, due to activist groups pressuring advertisers, even though nothing has changed with content moderation and we did everything we could to appease the activists. Extremely messed up! They’re trying to destroy free speech in America.

@phillipspc Oh, and I have close to 50 muted words which helps me keep my sanity. Muting silly things like "let that sink in" and "I can't believe this has to be said" really helps me keep my joy. 😅

After 4 hours over 2 days of our daughter refusing to let us take out a splinter in her foot, we had to physically restrain her to do it. Legit traumatizing for all of us. Shit no one tells you before becoming a parent 😩 Or we might just have the worlds most stubborn 3 yr old
