The last outage taught me something: if your whole workflow dies when one model goes down, you don't have a workflow, you have a dependency. Multi-model fallbacks aren't a nice-to-have. They're the difference between an inconvenience and a dead afternoon.

usually I would expect OpenAI to release GPT-5.6 this thursday but with the Fable situation idk

I'm having a break. I'll be back when Fable is. Bend2 should come 2 weeks after that... I've been working 24/7, made a LOT of progress with Fable, but this weekend bots just regressed shit we had fixed. I'm tired & stressed Sorry :( Below is a chart I'm not proud of

@ThePrimeagen It's not 100% solved but Fable can get you there 95%, maybe even more depending on the project The last 5% still needs a software dev and it's still hard

just never forget that the devs who yap about AI being the best thing ever all day never really knew how to program well to begin with. They are idiots telling you that the world is solved (charitable read) or worse, they are selling you something and are attempt to deceive you. This is why we see the same cycle every time. Opus 4 = God's gift to humanity to OMG its utter trash within a few months. The same thing happens with every model release because these people don't even know what dev is. They are larpers. I believe this is what Geohotz meant when he: "I’m calling it now, the adoption of AI agents into software development will be one of the most costly mistakes in the field’s history."

@rezoundous It's really a special model, the most capable and advance, most people don't like to go back to older models after they taste it. Though some has negative feedback due to tight safeguards

Fable 5 is the first model I've seen that has near unanimous positive feedback on X

The Fable 5 suspension is the first time I've watched a model get pulled mid-workflow over an export directive, not a capability bug. Different kind of supply-chain risk than we've been planning for. If your stack assumes a single frontier model is always reachable, today is the memo.
