Confirmation on Alexander Zharovsky headed back to the KHL for another year, at least, from his representation (@GoldStarHockey). A strong summer ahead for physical growth and development for the skilled forward to hit the ground running next season.

@coopalupe @nascarfanbw23 @JFreshHockey Yeah, but at the same time, it makes sense the top guys aren’t producing. They are basically evenly matched, and play against one another, so it just becomes a defensive shutdown game on both ends. The depth for us has been very underrated coming in!

@raphaelbeauche2 @nascarfanbw23 @JFreshHockey Their top line has been relatively quiet, so has ours. Top lines are cencelling out. Our bottom 6 and bottom pair has just been better. Habs depth is coming up big so far.

@nascarfanbw23 @JFreshHockey Our “issue” going into the playoffs was the defensive depth. Both Xhekaj and Struble have played like true top 4 def thus far, not surprised we are performing this well defensively when the depth stepped up

@tornquad1125940 @Ryguy_65 @the_habitant Still a much more complete team. Tampa has super stars, solid depth, as well as a true goalie. Carolina has 1 of those 3, and it’s the least important of the 3. Not particularly close.

@therealab224 Don’t make a trade to make a trade. Only way I would trade him is if a trade “requires” Hage, but are willing to swap Hage for Zharovksy, such as a Robert Thomas deal

@GenoManager Respectfully going to have to disagree. Suzuki might straight up have a top 5 hockey iq in the league, and you cannot get more consistent than him. Healthy Thomas is great, but just not as reliable, and considering similar healthy production, I think that is a big game changer

@raphaelbeauche2 i have them both in the same range. Personally I have Thomas ahead of Suzuki

@GenoManager Depends on where you rank Hischier and Thomas. Thomas for me is right around the 45-50 range for best player in the league, and I think it’s disrespectful to put Suzuki lower than like 17

@raphaelbeauche2 @Lightn1ngStr1k3 lol this seems rather hypocritical. The Habs are insanely top heavy, wildly questionable in goal, and their def is slightly above average at absolute best.

Here's where I think every team should realistically peak in the playoffs. I am 100% aware that teams can and probably will over perform but I think being realistic this is what we should expect each team's ceiling to be. This assumes every team shows up and no major injuries.

I can only image playoff Crosby will be one of the best in the league, even at 38
