Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell is likely to stay on for a short time after his term as head of the central bank is over, bettors on prediction markets platform Kalshi estimate.
Bettors place a 30% chance Powell resigns as a member of the Fed Board of Governors by June. However, bettors are more confident that he does that by August or the end of the year, with 66% and 81% odds, respectively.

"We know that if we keep a record that we can ultimately hold them accountable," Gov. JB Pritzker says after Illinois officials held a second day of public hearings as part of an investigation into Operation Midway Blitz: an immigration crackdown orchestrated last fall by the Trump administration.
“They've been tackling and detaining U.S. citizens, Black and Brown people, people who speak with an accent, and using that as an excuse to take people away. So, we know that that's illegal. So, these people need to know that if they keep doing it, they're eventually both going to lose their jobs, and maybe even their freedom.”
Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker says the Chicago Bears should stay in the state, arguing the team would “lose a lot of fans” if it relocates to Indiana. The end of next month marks the close of Illinois’ legislative session and a key deadline for a stadium deal.
“My job is to protect the taxpayers of Illinois. That’s my north star, and then, to make sure that we keep the Bears,” Pritzker tells CBS News’ Major Garrett.
