McCullough: Biggest Blastoff In Our CPI Nowcast
🔊
Macro analyst Josh Steiner @HedgeyeFIG reported the Hedgeye Inflation Nowcast on The Call @ Hedgeye this morning:
"We moved from 2.85% to 3.08%...up from 2.41% in February."
"This is the biggest blastoff in our nowcast," Hedgeye CEO @KeithMcCullough said.
ZERO Bloomberg @business analysts have published a March CPI estimate, and we're already past the halfway mark of the month.
"Self-righteousness and political views with no accuracy or competence in nowcasting is a massive risk to society."
Watch The Call @ Hedgeye for market insights you won't find anywhere else.

Changing Your Mind Is More Profitable Than Being Right
🔊
"If you were to ask who gets more things right than anybody in markets, it's the people that change their minds the most — not the smartest people," Hedgeye CEO @KeithMcCullough on The Macro Show.
It's a point Keith drives home constantly: process beats ego, flexibility beats conviction.
The best investors aren't married to their calls, they're married to the truth.
In markets, the math (truth) changes...so you have to move with it.
This idea has been around for generations.
Darwin: "It is not the strongest or the most intelligent who will survive but those who can best manage change."
Albert Einstein: "The measure of intelligence is the ability to change."
Winston Churchill: "To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often."
As McCullough put it: "Don't be smart. Make money."

A central bank that needs to be loved by the media and the elites it's supposed to regulate isn't a central bank. It's a captured institution dressed up in policy language
Herbie Hancock@uhwatbro
@KeithMcCullough He does seem very desperate to be believed in the Q&A.
