Came to a small city- Vidisha, in MP. Here, Swiggy, Uber, Zomato culture hasn’t reached yet. Men are still the breadwinners. Women are still homemakers. The eldest person in the family still has the final say in most life decisions. Many people still prefer opening a small shop instead of chasing “opportunities” online. And something else I noticed. People are not irritated. They are not constantly complaining. They are not in a hurry. Maybe in big cities, progress looks like speed. Faster growth. Faster money. Faster life. But here, people are not chasing speed. They are chasing stability. A predictable life. A peaceful mind. And strangely… they seem quite content with it.
