We received some questions regarding the main function of R2-0 Tool and how it works. The R2-0 will add a "QD" style capability to your Geissele Super Precision Mount by using its 1/2" socket to loosen or tighten the mounting nuts to the Geissele recommended spec (1/4 turn past hand tight). Since the Super Precision Mount has true return to zero capability, this allows you to take the optic on and off without needing any extra attention. When its not in use, it snaps directly in a secure hold between the mount's hardware. #emissarydevelopment

3D modeling the textured handles for the V4. I model these the same way I used to make them back when I would hand-grind them. I move various-sized “grinding wheels” into position and take cuts. The cool part about doing it on a computer is that I can undo and tweak each cut as needed until I get the exact look I’m going for. The process takes about eight hours, but after that I can manufacture them quickly whenever I need to, indefinitely. If I hadn’t spent the better part of a decade making handmade blades before this, the results wouldn’t be nearly as good. Blending classic techniques with modern technology is a pretty neat process, and teaching other makers how to do it has been super rewarding.

@treblewoe Have the 12" version of that for the rare times that I need it. Turning off and on between every measurement is vital. Also a Mitutoyo appreciator but sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

support got back to me, and they were correct: battery issue. this 100% repeatable precision was somehow downstream from some power state. pulled the battery and it works perfectly now.
