@andrew_j_mead If it wasn't for your Udemy courses, I would not be the developer I am today. Thank you!
That said, would love to know your current AI stack?
The vertical orientation of tabs was Arc’s least interesting tab innovation, but it seems to be the only one anyone wants to copy.
Tab renaming. Pinned tabs that can be reset. Tab folders with peeking. 😭
it’s in gemini, just create it in ai studio. oh, that’s for your personal google one account. for workspace you need gemini business. no, not gemini advanced, that’s ai pro now. unless you need ai ultra. oh agents? you do that in spark actually. no, not gemini api managed agents, that’s different. for coding use jules. unless you mean the agentic ide, that’s antigravity. no, that’s the old antigravity, download the new one. actually gemini cli is being deprecated, use antigravity cli. no the flash model is smarter than the pro model. unless you need pro. if it’s video, use flow. no, flow uses veo. no, nano banana is images. actually that’s in gemini now. unless you’re in search, then it’s ai mode. no, research is notebooklm. anyway it’s all very simple.
I don’t usually share personal things here, but I’ve been carrying something heavy these past couple weeks.
My dad passed away two Saturdays ago and I’m still trying to process what that means.
One of the biggest things we shared in life was the LA Galaxy. It was our “thing.” It’s what we bonded over. Over 20+ years, so many memories were built around this club. My first games at the Rose Bowl. Season tickets since the day DHSP opened. Away days. Championships in 2011, 2012, 2014, 2024. We experienced all of that together.
He’s the reason I’m a fan. The reason I care as much as I do.
What I keep coming back to is how grateful I am for the timing of one of the last things we did together.
We filmed a piece about legacy, about passing something down from father to son. It was an opportunity, as a grown man, to look my father in the eyes and thank him for all of the sacrifices he made and all the love that he gave us.
My dad didn’t have a father growing up. No blueprint, no example. But somehow, he became everything I could have ever needed and more.
I love you, Dad. I’m going to miss you more than I can put into words.
You were the biggest G I knew and I know you’ll be watching with me at every game and watch party.
when people pitch me concepts they're excited about they focus on how it works
but i want to understand how a user goes from not caring about it, to being interested, to understanding, to evangelizing
9/10 good ideas don't have an answer for this, which makes them bad ideas
it's crazy how many people think that 30 minutes a day isn't enough to learn anything.
Who told you this? Unknown knowns are wild. People just ingrain hurdles in their head about the universe because some thought leader spoke into their life in the distant past.
"It's not the people who can code, it's the people with grit!"
Sir, you have all this grit but never learned to code and build your dream app? I doubt you know what the word grit means.
Maybe it was never the coding that stopped you, it was you and likely will still be you.
Democrats be like “yes we committed genocide. Yes Bill Clinton and Larry Summers are rapists. Yes Obama’s lawyer knew Epstein was a sex trafficker and accepted gifts from him. No we won’t punish any of them. Yes you have to vote for us or you don’t care about marginalized people”
