My brother's wife is a remarkable woman โฆshe cooks, cleans, is feminine, supportive, and very intelligent.
She's American-Ghanaian, and I was surprised to see an American woman so young being so skilled in the kitchen, as well as being so soft-spoken.
Then I learned she was raised by her father, and I understood. When we went to meet her father for his blessing, I made sure to bring a case of his favorite drink to thank him for raising such a lovely woman, especially considering the negative stereotypes about American women being terrible, selfish, and lazy. I have met at least 3 women raised by single fathers and you can clearly see the difference.
