On the Human Cell Types team, we study single neurons from tissue removed during surgery (thanks donors 🙏). We don’t usually get to study connections, so I jumped in to help with our SynPhys team’s analysis (science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…). 1/7

(disclaimer: 🐁 and 🤵 are different in many ways, so let’s not assume these findings are related to intelligence or human-unique. Who knows what we’d find in other species!) 7/7

Other interesting species contrasts: human neurons recover faster from depression and have less variable responses. 6/7
