@Shpeshal_Nick It's 69/7599 reviews it says so I don't think it's too crazy. 10 doesn't always mean perfect either. Skyward Sword got a lot of 10s at the time. Not saying it deserves it but it was highly praised by reviewers.

@LiamLXonYT I remember my first time playing it and being confused when it ended as I did not realise I was already at the end of the game! The previous games would take me forever to compete. Still loved what I played though!

It took Twitter to make me realise a lot of people don't like Legend. Personally I love it but I do think the game length has a lot to do with it not being liked. Maybe I'm also a bit biased because it was my first.

@CONVER2ER @45mice Exactly. FRLG, HGSS and ORAS brought those games up to the standards of the current respective gens. BDSP should have been an 8th Gen level experience.

@45mice The reason BDSP isn't loved is because after ORAS did a complete reimagining of Hoenn inside the context of gen 6, people expected something big and innovative from BDSP. And instead Legends Arceus took that idea even further, leaving BDSP with a bare bones pseudo port instead.

My hot take w/ BDSP was it was actually a decent recreation of Gen 4. It tried to fix issues, it’s just Gen 4 sucks. Terrible dex, slow as hell, awful pacing. ORAS worked as Gen 3 is awesome while Gen 4 is trash at base. Don’t let nostalgia blind you.

@FfMeryll I keep meaning to complete this. 13-2 was an evolution of 13 but LR is too different that it just feels too different despite being more a sequel to 13-2 story wise than what that was to 13. I'll get my head around it eventually.

Lightning Returns deserve more respect for what it does great. Gameplay is some of the best in the series! I loved the desert. There's a big dungeon underground and as you explore it, you unlock shortcuts; and more NPCs are joining to explore. It feels organic and coherent.

Praying Xbox takes this further. Give us a real Platinum equivalent with tiered rewards. Iron, Silver, Gold, and Emerald While they're at it, make achievements feel meaningful again, and crack down on shovelware games for farming easy Gamerscore 🙏
