A powerful moment of partnership and preparation. Ifrah Ahmed, Founder and Programme Director of @IfrahFoundation , together with Emily Krehm from International Rescue Committee, as they prepare for the @Irish_Aid -funded grassroots drive to bring the new law banning FGM to communities across Somalia. Through the Born Perfect Caravans, this work will take the message directly to villages — ensuring that the law is not only passed, but understood, heard and acted upon. We are also grateful to the German government for believing in the power of frontline women to help bring an end to FGM. ✊✊✊ #EndFGM #LocalLeadership #WomenLeading #BornPerfectCaravans #GlobalPartnerships

The designated sexual violence and abuse awareness week has drawn to a close, however the reality of sexual violence and abuse has not. The end of the designated week should not be the end of our vigilance and advocacy against sexual violence and abuse.

we are winning the battle of "awareness," but we are still fighting the battle of "normalization", These insights should guide ongoing efforts to protect girls and communities, ensuring that interventions are informed by both evidence and context. #invest2endfgm #FGM
