*ahem* No hate on the Constitution though, it's very cool.

Only America would keep a 228 year old warship in commission for no strategic reason other than to remind the world how long we’ve been doing this. The U.S.S. Constitution is the longest serving warship afloat because Americans understand that tradition is a weapon too.

@spudhawg @histofevery_yt2 Constitution is a 30-gun frigate. It's cool that it's still afloat. HMS Victory is a 104-gun first rate ship of the line. That fought at Trafalgar. I think you got the labels the wrong way round :)

@functionalfunct @histofevery_yt2 Constitution is a 44-gun heavy frigate that bested two British frigates in single ship actions and two British sixth rates in one action. And she’s still afloat. The labels are fine.

@spudhawg @histofevery_yt2 Good for her. Very impressive. Victory went headfirst into multiple 70+ gun ships including the 114-gun Santísima Trinidad in one of the most audacious naval actions in history. But, you should rightly celebrate your little victories. Very impressive.
