I went to the grocery store. I saw the driver of a semi get out and walk in the store. When I was checking out, he was in front of me. He had bread, ham, cheese, milk and was trying to decide what to put back for lack of money. I paid for his food. He was from Canada.

@memerekim3 @JamesFLoveIV Actually KimmieB it very well could have some Canadian drivers are paid as low (32 cpm). If they are new its tough. If he is an owner operator it is even more possible, with the cost of fuel getting paid in Cad and USD is a major problem. Fuel is high rates are low.

@gidget642 @JamesFLoveIV I guess. When my late husband drove truck in the early 2000s as a company driver, he made 70k per year. I guess I figured it would have gone up by now.
