Paywall cheat code: The 3-Screen Trial Close Don't put your trial terms in the fine print. Break it into three separate, less aggressive 'paywall priming' screens: Screen 1: "We want you to Try this for free" Screen 2: "We’ll remind you before the trial ends" Screen 3: "Unlock everything now" Make the user feel safe to convert. (this is the only actual paywall screen) Builds a ton of trust with any user hesitating about your free trial

@StevenCravotta The 3-screen trial close is a great way to avoid trial fatigue. It's like a gentle nudge to keep users engaged without feeling trapped.

@StevenCravotta Usually the reason I dont take a free trial on something im intrigued by is because im worried that being able to cancel will be hidden or very difficult.

@StevenCravotta I might try your approach but how about this method comparing to yours?

I use a similar approach in Uniflow. The second people feel tricked by hidden pricing or surprise charges, trust is gone. I keep everything visible from day one. No fine print. No dark patterns. If you're building something people need, you don't have to manipulate them into paying for it.

@StevenCravotta Breaking up friction into three steps instead of overwhelming users on one screen. Smart psychology.

@StevenCravotta I'm building a SaaS that custom does your paywalls in 2 days, does all the competitor research for you, optimises every placement and on-boarding screen, including avoidables, ios/android offers, regional offers, etc. Would you like a free one done for you

@StevenCravotta This is smart conversion psychology. You remove fear before asking for money. Trust compounds before the paywall appears. Fewer surprises means higher intent buyers.

@StevenCravotta Hey @StevenCravotta, would you recommend onboarding -> sign up -> paywall, or onboarding -> paywall -> sign up? Trying to find someone who has an answer to this based on data, I need to A/B test this but budged is not that big for now

@StevenCravotta Psychology in action. Each screen builds commitment. By screen 3, they're already invested.

@StevenCravotta Do you think 7 days is the ideal amount of time? Or is it app dependent, I’m struggling to decide how long I want to give.

@StevenCravotta What would you use to send users emails about reminding them rhat the trial will end? Also what is the conversion rate from trial to paid?

So I get the concept of a free trial like this but what if it was offered for free and the product was so good that once it was turned off the user actually went in and paid for it. Those are the real customers the ones that your actually building for and wanting to serve. Sure you might be able to manufacture some revenue from people who forget to cancel. Id be curious an a/b test on that.

@StevenCravotta The App Store rejected the Yearly card because it showed the monthly amount ($3.99/month) instead of the yearly amount. So now I have to display the yearly amount. How do you show the monthly amount on the Yearly card?

@StevenCravotta Transparency reduces churn. Surprising users with a charge is a great way to get a 1-star review and a chargeback. The upfront close filters for real intent.

@StevenCravotta I actually don't think that these paywalls are good. I'd rather just have my users test the app and get value immediately rather than give them three screens at the start,
