@TechOperator Uber is doing everything they can to counter Tesla, Rivian is the same, makes complete sense for the two to team up. The Robotaxi market is going to be Tesla vs. everyone else together and it's going to be exciting to see how it develops.

Rivian Universal Hands-Free vs Tesla Self-Driving This was my first time testing Rivian's new Universal Hands-Free, and I was honestly surprised by how it performed. I understand this is their first attempt and it will only improve from here, but truthfully, it is worse than any version of FSD or Autopilot I have ever used. I respect Rivian as a company, but I always try to remain unbiased in my opinions, so here are my unfiltered thoughts on where UHF stands today. The likelihood of this happening is low. This, along with their autonomy+ rollout and robotics announcement is a clear attempt to raise enough money to not have to sell off the company. The problem is that they are going to have to produce extreme results quickly to keep these companies at bay. They keep stretching themselves thinner and thinner just trying to keep the lights on and it’s going to bite them in the butt.

@TechOperator We're in 2026 with Singularity gaining speed. 5 years is an eternity. I say BS announcement to manipulate algos (for both companies) & prop up the stonks. I'm not impressed & I'm willing to bet 10€ that this "deal" will be rolled back in 2 or 3 years, no penalties paid for that.
