Way back in 2010 I had strayed far from Ruby-land and was spending much of my time working in C# writing Silverlight and WPF code. I missed Ruby and wouldn't you know it, IronRuby burst onto the scene! 🧵

So I went looking. It took a few hours but I finally found the original blog post about it too. I repurposed that, created a readme, and pushed it up to GitHub where it now lives.

@Mekto85 @pydanny They are no longer selling enterprise or business contracts, and they are moving the engineering resources to focus on other areas. Looks like putting it in maintenance mode to me.

I remember several years of absolute glory for Heroku. For years the tech, UI, documentation and customer support were second to none. During that golden period a lot of money was spent on that platform because it was worth it. RIP Heroku: heroku.com/blog/an-update…

This is so true. At Vestmark we learned this earlier this year. Token efficient, comprehends the complexity, and a great partner for engineers working on hard (or boring!) problems.

When people ask me why I love Ruby so much... THIS is what I'm talking about!
