In this project, religious leaders, community elders and bereaved community members are invited to a dialogue to focus on what actually helps, trying to reduce the focus on who introduced certain coping mechanisms. The aim is to understand and improve community wellbeing.

In the Luhya community of western Kenya, certain mourning rituals are eroded through colonization and globalization. Religious faiths conflict with some indigenous rituals. And where do mental health practitioners come in?
