Mining, sorting, processing, manufacturing, delivery - every vertical of the renewable supply-chain is dependent on gasoline, diesel, coal or #natgas .
Until e-fuels, SMRs or geothermal scale sufficiently, some fossil fuels must remain to ensure #EnergySecurity.

If energy security is a priority it’s prudent to scale-up renewables BEFORE scaling-down oil/gas. The energy to manufacture wind turbines, heat pumps, home insulation, batteries, solar cells etc will be predominantly fossil based for a while yet.

Too many people fall for the illusion that economic strength means high emissions. No.
France, Nordics, Netherlands and Spain are all powerful economies with low emissions per capita thanks to #CleanEnergy policies.
