Bit of the key in both is how they parallel their steam counterparts (edward/henry respectively)
With BoCo, he is very pragmatic & solutions based. he sees a situation and deals with it head on. He's level headed if a bit aloof
where edward soothes, boco solves. both do care.

@AdrianClass04 @SteamCloud1100 @DankEngine2005 I did and I still disagree. Even if we ignore the buffers, Culdee Fell engines do not carry front lamps, it would make no sense for them to do so when there's always a coach or a truck in front of a mountain engines, so it can't be them.
