Three years ago today I hopped off the plane at LAX with a dream and my cardigan then hopped on another plane to St Louis and have called it home ever since. Insane behaviour as a 34 year old female to leave my relationship of 10 years, my house, my dog and my job of 11 years just to chase this silly little dream of being a full time professional wrestler. I gave up everything I had spent my life building because it was what I was meant to do for what I was born to do. Even to the point of writing this post as I’m stopped at a gas station driving home from another weekend full of shows. I’ve wrestled 299 matches in the 3 years since I moved here. 299 opportunities to perform and grow and learn and create something special. I don’t want to wrestle for the rest of my life but I love riding this wave of making money doing what I love and now three years later I have permanent residency and can really focus on building a life for the future here. Note for the younger wrestlers and trainers. Please teach etiquette and professionalism. Crazy that it has to be mentioned. Don’t take things that aren’t yours. Clean up after yourself. Respect the place that brought you. The locker-room is sacred. These are common sense things in pro wrestling.

I think a lot of current fans/wrestlers don’t realize that when live fans returned in 2021 there was a massive shift from the way it used to be. From 1996-2019 good guys got booed and bad guys got cheered constantly. We really had to earn the right to get the desired reaction. After 2020 fans were honestly just so excited to have live wrestling back that for the most part they loudly supported whatever story was being provided. It’s been 5 years now and I think we are beginning to see the shift back in that previous direction. In my opinion there are pros and cons to both sides, but as wrestlers I think this kind of trend is wonderful because it forces us to listen and adjust to the voices of the fans at all times and that’s what this craft is really all about.

My mother is an artist, and she paints all sorts of beautiful things, I have many of her paintings in my home. After my brother got married, she gave them a painting, and then she started doing it for my cousins too. But she never painted one commemorating my marriage. That is, until this year, she finally made one and gave it to me for Christmas. It's always nice to see progress and people accepting love in all forms.
