"The output of a manager is the output of the organizational units under his or her supervision or influence." Those who can effectively manage this new continent of tireless employees, are going to build incredible things.

Grove was big on 1:1s and candid feedback. Still 100% relevant. When an agent screws up, don't just patch the output. Root-cause fix the process. Update instructions so it never happens again. Elicit peak performance of the system through relentless iteration.

For anyone building with AI agents right now, (re)read Andy Grove's High Output Management. If agents are like a new continent spawned of intelligent minds working for cheap, effectively managing them for high output is one of the highest-leverage skills on Earth.🧵

@pkedrosky Oligopolies and high switching costs allows orgs to play tricks to extract value. Even while providing the value of worldwide information at ones fingertips, for the customer experience it feels pretty bad.

My family & friends are really into #RVing. The no.1 issue they all seem to have is determining if their RV will fit in a campground. Somebody with a drone and LiDAR should map campsites and build an app to go with it.

Biggest challenge for incumbents across many industries is that they are getting disrupted from different angles rn: Finance: - rise of challenger banks - "every co' is a fintech" - DeFi Car OEM's: - rise of EV's - "mobility as a service" - autonomous driving Other examples?
