Most Americans, when they hear about "The NATO budget" think that European militaries pay for their defence out of a NATO fund that America pays into.
Americans think they "pay for European defence" literally.

All you need to know about Online MAGA cheerleaders who now defend the Iran War is that none of them were advocating for it before the war happened. Many of them spent years making statements against any desire or need for war with Iran.
