When Robert Pires found the back of the net in the 46th minute of Arsenal's famous 6-1 victory over Southampton on 7 May 2003, few could have imagined they were witnessing the beginning of something historic.
That win marked the start of Arsenal's legendary 49-match unbeaten Premier League run.
So why bring up a goal scored in the 46th minute over 20 years ago?
Because, ladies and gentlemen...
It's been 46 days since Arsenal won the Premier League title.

2006. A year that gave Arsenal one of the most memorable nights in the club's European history.
In the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 at Santiago Bernabéu, Thierry Henry delivered a moment of pure brilliance. Picking up the ball near the halfway line, he surged past Real Madrid defenders including Sergio Ramos, coolly slotting the ball past Iker Casillas.
This goal secured a 1-0 victory and sent Arsenal through on aggregate, making them the first English club to defeat Real Madrid at the Bernabéu. To this day it stands as one of Henry’s greatest goals and a landmark moment in Arsenal’s European history.
So why bring up a goal scored in the 47th minute back in 2006?
Because, ladies and gentlemen...
It's been 47 days since Arsenal won the Premier League title.

🚨 Andrea Berta speak on Arsenal objectives.
🗣️ "Our ambition is crystal clear: to dominate English football, retain the Premier League title, and lift the UEFA Champions League.
Every move we make in the transfer market is driven by those objectives. We're not bringing in players just to add numbers—we're recruiting footballers who can make a real difference and help us win.
Our goal is to build a squad capable of challenging for every major trophy. That's the expectation at Arsenal, and it's what we're committed to achieving every single day."

Football matches are played over two 45-minute halves, making 90 minutes in total. But the number 45 wasn't chosen because of science.
In the early days of football, there was no standard match length. That changed on 31 March 1866, when the Football Association and Sheffield agreed on a compromise: Sheffield wanted a two-hour match, the FA wanted something shorter, so they settled on two halves of 45 minutes.
The format worked so well that it became the global standard and has remained unchanged for over 150 years.
But why?
Because, ladies and gentlemen...
It's been 45 days since Arsenal won the Premier League title.

When I saw Klopp’s comments about the disallowed Germany goal I did have a smirk knowing full well that this absolute virgin would throw a wobbler over them 😂

This is why Klopp is so upset that Mikel matched his PL legacy, Klopp never beat Pep in a title race, when he did win one, he couldn’t celebrate it & no one really cared because of Covid, that season has been blocked out of most minds. Mikel also run him out of England because Klopps excuse for being dog walked by Pep was oil money, Mikel showed that not to be the case.

@ArsenalAxessed @afcstuff @FabrizioRomano Third world says the bloke posting to the Londoner from Nigeria
English

🚨 @FabrizioRomano: “Atletico Madrid are NOT the only club trying to understand the situation of Viktor Gyökeres - there have been top, top clubs asking about his availability. The answer from Arsenal was always that they want to keep the player.” ✅🇸🇪

English

@VillageWisdoms @afcstuff @FabrizioRomano I believe the comparison with Mbappe was on Finishing
I believe Gyok scored more in his first season than 95% of EPL strikers and it's expected to be his worst season
I believe Gyok absolutely deserves 26/27 season to show his full abilities now that he's settled in with 21gls
English

@ArsenalAxessed @afcstuff @FabrizioRomano Ok.
Yes. I believe Gyokeres is not as good as Mbappe and so does the world.
Yes I believe VG Failed to score against the top teams in the league.. that’s a fact.
Yes I believe a striker has to create space and runs to receive opportunities and that he doesn’t do this enough
English

@VillageWisdoms @afcstuff @FabrizioRomano What third world argument is this?
I want to believe you're just trying to win this argument by any means possible because if you actually believe what you're saying, then you should check yourself
English

@ArsenalAxessed @afcstuff @FabrizioRomano Arsenal have “flexed” their set piece ability all season… how much they created from it has been a discussion throughout.
Why is it your primary striker can’t get in on the party if he is so deadly?
