Maybe so, I think there’s a perception that works made in the early 2000’s or late 90’s as worse then current and based on technology I wouldn’t disagree to that. If AI can provide real time or near real time translation to the user in any language then you would then be operating under a unified language but instead of it being “English” it would be under AI which would present the same benefits of people speaking the actual same language. Of course this would mean at any given moment communication would have to be translated real time even in person meaning people are always connected. Seeing English and Japanese interactions on X is a similar situation and example of this happening.
