I have confirmed that the two passengers in the video will depart on today's flight from JNB WB109 and connect tomorrow morning to Lagos. They are said to have failed "migratory inspection."

This is an Immigration issue, not an airline issue. When a passenger is considered inadmissible, they are held until the airline that brought them in is able to fly them back. It is possible that there are no seats available on the very next flight and the passenger would have to wait. While waiting, an inadmissible would not be allowed to leave the terminal. I will advise passengers in this situation to stay calm and obey instructions until they are able to be flown back home. Do not become unruly and don't make videos if their rules are against it. Unless you are being maltreated, stay calm.

You assertion is correct, however (1) a passenger who is willing to book the next available flight to get out of such situation doesn’t have to ‘wait’. (2) They aren’t yearning to leave the terminal but you are preventing them from having access to their mobile phones which helps keeps their loved ones abreast of situation as they unfold (3) This SA immigration officials are actually being harsh, rude and callous. A lady there literally wanted to throw her stapler at @YemiFirstson whilst he was trying to show her his validly booked and emailed hotel reservation. (4) Some of them have spent days there in the case of @odesanmijamal_ , so South African Airways which he came with have not had a single empty seat for days?.
