@RyanLucas_LA Hachimura re-signing for $11M a year would be insane. He’s playing out of his mind right now, and teams are going to pay for that production. There’s no chance he takes less than what he’s already making.

Now THIS moves me..... Wizards receive - #2 overall pick - Lauri Markkanen - Jarred Vanderbilt - Dalton Knecht - Lakers 2030 unprotected 1st - Lakers 2032 unprotected 1st Jazz receive: - #1 overall pick - Lakers #25 overall pick - Lakers remove protections on 2027 1st already owed to Utah - Trae Young - Jake LaRavia Lakers receive: - Anthony Davis - Ace Bailey - 2 Utah 2027 2nds - 2 Washington 2026 2nds This trade CAN be done, but it requires Ayton opting out. Smart opts IN. Reaves resigns for 30 mil a season Lebron resigns for 18 mil Rui resigns for 11 mil a season Luke resigns for 7 mil a season Luka Doncic - Marcus Smart - Bronny James Austin Reaves - Luke Kennard Ace Bailey - Adou Thiero Lebron James - Rui Hachimura Anthony Davis + two players you select with Wizards 2nds in draft. You'd then have space for 3 minimums or 2 minimums and one slightly above minimum, all while being under 2nd apron still.

@RussellT33 Exactly. A lot of names here are elite finishers or role players, but AD and Kawhi carrying star-level usage and still staying this efficient is what separates them. Efficiency usually drops when the defensive focus is on you.
