@CoderPW @sophielouisecc @JamesHarvey2503 Coincidentally I am a software engineer too so I know what I am talking about. And I had 3 programmers working through my limited company at one point. You should explore this option with a good accountant.

Many of us are at work today on a bank holiday, knowing full well that people on benefits have just got a bonus of £6000. I would have to work around 500 hours to get an extra 6k - they don’t have to do anything Why do we even bother

Make Europe Great Again - M.E.G.A
🚨🇬🇧THE MASK SLIPS: RUPERT LOWE’S 2-MINUTE ULTIMATUM TO ZARAH SULTANA Westminster just witnessed a confrontation that the mainstream media is already trying to "reframe." Standing in a stunned House of Commons, Reform MP Rupert Lowe held up the Sovereignty and Allegiance Act and issued a chilling warning that has sent shockwaves across the country. Locking eyes with Zarah Sultana, Lowe didn’t hold back. He launched a forensic attack on what he described as "dual loyalties" within the heart of Government, claiming to have evidence of foreign interests compromising British national security. “Loyalty to this country is not optional; it is your primary duty,” Lowe declared over the erupting chaos of the chamber. “If you cannot put the British flag before your own agenda, you have no place in this House.” The live feed captured the moment the chamber descended into absolute turmoil as Lowe began naming those he believes are betraying the public trust. While the "Westminster Bubble" tries to downplay this as a stunt, the footage is already breaking the internet. Is this the start of the political reckoning the British public has been waiting for?

Honestly, i'm no supporter of Farage, but the evidence suggests right now that if there was a general election today, that reform stand a decent chance of winning it. Would I cry if he didn't ... na ... but lets say Zack / Dave or whatever they call him these days gets in as PM. This is seemingly after all what the left wants. We will see ... - abolishion of the monarchy and church of england - the nhs torn down - legalisation of gambling and guns - massive support for sharia law - open borders making the current immigration situation worse - etc etc ... it's worse than Labour, I'd be seriously tempted to just migrate out of the UK before Sharia and oppression goes into full swing. On Farage specifically though ... Personally I don't think @Nigel_Farage goes far enough to push back on the extremist leftism we are seeing in the UK today, there's far too much Fascism and gaslighting taking place and Keir is clearly covering up embarrassing cultural diversity issues. Ultimately given how fast @reformparty_uk has grown in the past 2 years I'd like to see @RupertLowe10 do the same for @RestoreBritain_ and then worst case we see a Reform government but with a strong second place in Restore Britain, best case @RupertLowe10 becomes our next PM and completely reverses all the absurdity that is Labours failure to run the UK. Either way ... As it stands the evidence CLEARLY shows, if there was an election today Labour isn't getting into power.

The year is 2030. Nigel Farage is in Number 10 and Keir Starmer is in prison. Mass deportations are in full flow. Is this a future you would like? Please share if so 🇬🇧🥰🥰

@ZynxBTC Oh ok based on these now adjusted April figures ... £37,305.68 difference a year. so you take home roughly 2.6x the min wage if you earn in the top 5%

The UK has a far flatter income distribution than the Communist Soviet Union. The UK take home minimum wage for working a full time job (40-hours) is now £22,555. At £100k salary, the take home is £68,558. That is a net income ratio of 3.04:1 We are now at the point where the wage compression and taxes in the UK means that the difference between minimum wage and a top 5% salary is a net income difference of only ~3x. In the USSR using the same comparison, this figure never fell below 5:1 It's actually even worse in reality because the person earning £100k in the UK often has student loans. Britain is nominally capitalist but functionally communist. China is nominally communist but functionally capitalist. Funny how that works.

@StFirmin3 @UK_Needs_Reform I doubt it, Labour and Keir's ratings are only going down, and people still feel bad stuff for the Tories. It's either gonna be Reform or Restore Britain that wins the next election.

Claude Mythos. Ten trillion parameters: the first model in this weight class. Estimated training cost: ten billion dollars. On the hardest coding test in the industry (SWE bench) it scores 94%. It found a security flaw in a system that had been running for 27 years, one that every human engineer and every automated check had missed. It found another bug that had survived five million test runs over 16 years. (It did so overnight.) It is so capable in cybersecurity that Anthropic will not release it to the public, instead it is launching Project Glasswing along with 100m in compute credits to help secure software. Only twelve partners currently have access: Amazon, Cisco, Apple, Google, Microsoft, NVIDIA, JPMorgan Chase, Crowdstrike, Palo Alto, AWS, The Linux Foundation, Broadcom. (I'm sure the Pentagon is on the line?) This is not a product launch: it is a controlled deployment of a system too powerful to distribute freely. Tell me this isn't (very expensive) AGI?

Introducing Project Glasswing: an urgent initiative to help secure the world’s most critical software. It’s powered by our newest frontier model, Claude Mythos Preview, which can find software vulnerabilities better than all but the most skilled humans. anthropic.com/glasswing

Socialists Can't Calculate
@CoderPW @NinaDSchick You still didn't answer my question.. Just directly answer my question: Why didn't they do this with earlier versions? If it's just a gimmick, they could have been doing this all along. No more word salads.

2 GW each ... And only one of them goes to the south where the bulk of the power for the UK is needed. Is this a joke? 2 to 3 solar farms and that project is done. Existing wind generation already exceeds those connections. Sounds like they can plan a piss up in a pub on lockdown.
